VISUAL ART JAPANESE ART AFTER FUKUSHIMA: RETURN OF GODZILLA RMIT Gallery Until May 30
Japanese Art After Fukushima is part of an excellent festival, Art + Climate = Change, which gathers local and international artists working with environmental ideas. It has spanned numerous venues across the state and is an important initiative of Guy Abrahams from the non-profit-making Climarte.
Strong stuff here, thank you fellow artists for channeling (or, as I have come to experience of late, “funneling” is more like it) the Creation’s voice so eloquently and of course beautifully…

Thanks for that one, such an important topic. Interesting things in both art and music have been inspired by the incident such as Masaki Batoh’s Brain Pulse’ machine which he developed as a tool to help post-Fukushima victims with psychosomatic issues. I saw him demo it in SF a few years back: http://www.dragcity.com/products/brain-pulse-music-machine
