The Best Wheels For Cross-Country

I remember making these wheels with my cousins when I was a child. They are supposedly a boys’ toy, but I tried driving it more than once. I have to admit, it was fun.

You need an old tyre, a small bottle filled with water and two sticks. You put the stick ends in the bottle and place the bottle inside the tyre. The wet bottle slides inside the old tyre and drives it forward as you push the sticks. You can drive it anywhere across country.

      1. Hi Joycelin. I had both of these awards for weeks, so there’s no way I’ll be rushing you! I have another one to do when I get back from Malta, too. I hope you have a wonderful three week break. I’m sure Nathan will make a really great ‘deputy’! Go and have some fun! 😀

      2. Thank you very much Millie. Nathan stays back for a week and then he is coming to join us. I asked him to talk nicely to my readers and be careful about what he posts – hahaha. He said he may write the odd story, but I will schedule a few posts before I go. 🙂

      5. I can understand his shyness – especially as it isn’t his own blog. Blogging takes some getting used to, for a start. Give him a big kiss and thank him for looking after the house (if he managed to do that!). 🙂

      7. That sounds very familiar. We had a good few years of coming home to start cleaning. Teenagers’ ideas of ‘clean’ are just a bit different to ours. At least your chooks hadn’t been starved. 😀
