  1. Interesting effects of organic and digital processes. In PNG and the Pacific, my students did similar effects with Kau Kau (sweet potato)as well and all natural dyes from the garden, overlaid with stamping by twigs and inks.

    The newer mix is very interesting and random and I like it!

    We also experimented with 2 textures of fabric (fabric over potato using 2 colors., one on the potato and another over the fabric. The ideas are many and I am enjoying your experiments. They are worth it!

    1. Thank you Kah Wah. So, I started with potatoes because I was also lazy to draw all the fine lines of the feathers. Then I dragged the lines out with the digital smudge brush. I’m glad you like it. Since I posted those pictures, the image has changed-as you would know. 🙂

  2. I remember carving potatoes and ‘painting’ with the shapes in college art classes when I was a much younger ape Joycelin (well before the current Health & Safety nonsense prevalent today in schools), but you’ve taken it to a whole new level for me 😀
